At GN Hearing, we develop hearing aids, apps and accessories to increase the quality of life for people with hearing loss. Hearing aids today are becoming more and more complex, but at the same time, there is a growing need for simplifying the interaction between devices to create seamless experiences. In the UX team, we work cross-functionally on different parts of the hearing aid solutions to achieve this.

Make hearing easy to understand and visually engaging
As a Digital Design Intern, your tasks will be to support the hearing aid experience from a digital design perspective on the mobile app platform on IOS and Android.
Through user and market research, you will support other UX Designers in our UX team in creating detailed UX/UI proposals, digital design assets, flowcharts and help clarify UI specifications for our in-house software developers.
Your initial focus will be on mobile apps, and here, you will be working closely with a Senior UI Designer on different digital projects in order to improve the user experience through great and engaging digital design for hearing impaired people.

Your primary tasks will include
• Design user interfaces, visual design, UI flows and wireframes, digital design and print
• Align visual expression and design across projects on wireframes
• Co-create with the UX team on work templates for user-involvement activities
• Ensure that you are on top of current trends with focus on app, desktop and hearing technologies.
• Participate in feature development through collaboration with Product Management, Audiology and other R&D functions – with focus on both functional and user experience requirements

What is ‘Need to have’:
• You have expert capabilities in visual and digital design and are and expert with the Adobe Package and Sketch
• You are on one of the last semesters on your Master degree in Digital Design, UI /UX design, Interactive design or Product design within relevant areas (e.g. from Designhøjskolen Højer, DSKD, KADK, CIID, KEA, DTU, AAU or ITU)
• You are able to commit to the position for at least 16 weeks, depending on your semester setup
• You have a portfolio that includes design samples and effectively communicates your former projects and how you work
• You are an entrepreneur at heart; takes initiative, is driven and self- motivated.
• A vision for what you would like to get out of your internship experience in order to form your tasks

What is ‘Nice to have’:
• Experience with developing and validating early UI concepts
• Experience within Interaction Design and User Research
• Excellent English language skills in both speech and writing
