Role description:
Certification teams plays a crucial role throughout the entire product life cycle, starting from product concepting, through out during development and sustaining phases until its end of life. Scope of Product Certification activities include Regulatory certifications, Environmental certifications and Partner certifications.

As a Certification engineer, being a part of the Quality and Customer Satisfaction department, you will be working in close cooperation with internal teams covering from Product Marketing, Product Management, Program Management, Global R&D functional teams, Product Quality, Global Operations and regional Sales and support teams. Being in this role, it is also expected and required to work closely with regional and international test houses and certification bodies.

Responsibilities:

During New Product Development:
• Define Scope of product certification based on the Concepts, Technology, and Business ness case.
• Prepare Product certification time plan and cost estimation.
• Define and document test scope and requirements towards x-functional teams, and deliverables during the product development.
• Coordinate and execute certification activities with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Support Packaging and Product Master data teams with input related to product labels and documentation.
• Ensure product certifications being made available in time for product launch.
• Finalize all required documentation needed towards x-functional teams incl. Operations and regional sales and support teams.

Sustaining in-market products:
• Monitor for changing regulations related to products in market, and drive needed actions.
• Drive re-certification / extensions / new certifications for in-market products as needed.

Misc.:
• Monitor for changing/new regulations across all countries on a regional level.
• Support x-functional teams to enable Jabra’s continued business and operations with external partners.
• Share knowledge and train internal teams on a regular basis.

Ideal candidate:
• Holds Master degree in electronics engineering and having at least 5 years of experience within Product certification. Profiles with bachelor’s degree having 8+ years of experience will be considered equivalent.
• Good knowledge and working experience with certification of consumer electronic products.
• Familiar with requirements and certification process related to regulatory and environmental compliance across regions. Knowledge on partner certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, Avaya, Mitel, Alcatel etc. would be an added advantage.
• Are a good team player and can drive certification projects with scoping, planning, estimation and coordinating activities with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Delivers towards business and department goals while embracing fast paced, dynamic and x-cultural working environment.
• Is creative, logical, analytical, flexible, adaptive and delivers to the full potential.
• Possess good customer focus, and respects working with process approach and risk based thinking.

Position: Filled both in Ballerup, Denmark and Xiamen, China.

Travel:
You are expected to travel up to 10 business days per year, visiting x-sites for team and strategy meetings, test houses/certification partners and attending regulatory forums/conferences.
