Leading major technology shifts with intelligent audio solutions
At the headquarters of GN Hearing, which is part of the GN Group in Copenhagen, you will be joining R&D IC - a dynamic team of 20+ designers that strive to develop leading chipsets for hearing applications. Together, we innovate and develop a wide variety of ultra-low-power mixed circuits in nanometer CMOS technologies from transistor-level to GDS and silicon.

Be a vital piece of the chip design processes
You will have a central role in providing high-quality design flows in 3-4 leading-edge IoT CMOS nodes for the whole chip design team. You will directly interface with EDA tool application engineers and foundry design-kit providers to achieve smooth integration in our design flows.

This entails:
• Setup and customization of foundry design kits (PDK)
• Installation of advanced IC design tools and integration in the design flows
• Script development to optimize the design flows (Python, Perl, Tcl, Skill, Shell, …)
• Modelling of analog cells for integration in digital chips (Verilog, Liberty, Lef)
• Chip design finishing for tape-out: GDS merge, netlist merge, DRC, LVS, dummies
• Exploring new EDA tools, defining their integration strategy in the flows
• Contributing to our Linux IT infrastructure & SW purchasing decisions

You will work alongside a number of specialists in analog and digital IC design, audio processing, radio systems and 3D integration, and your work will provide immediate benefit to the team’s performance in developing and executing chip designs.

A technical education and knowledge of IC design
With your profound curiosity and solution-oriented mindset, you are always driven to find, try and promote “the latest cool feature” in engineering software and look for ways to automate processes rather than repeating manual tasks. You are likewise service-minded, team-oriented and have a “can do” attitude that drives you to support your team in all aspects needed to design the best chipset in the business.

You also bring:
• Either a master’s degree in electronics engineering or computer science or a bachelor’s degree combined with IC design experience within analog design, mixed circuit simulation, layout, digital back-end design or chip finishing
• Excellent scripting skills in a Linux environment
• Some experience in EDA tools environment (Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Synopsys)
• Knowledge of CMOS fabrication basics
• Familiar with a revision control system (Git, Svn, Perforce, …)
• Good communication skills in English
