Software is a growing area in the creation of products and services and has become key to fulfil the consumer’s expectations.

Software Quality is focused on:
• End to End Evaluation of our products and application (solutions) with focus on SW quality. This being both during development as well as sustaining, throughout the lifespan of the product
• Driving Software quality assurance activities towards R&D and external vendors/ partners to facilitate issue resolution to customer quality cases
• Monitoring project execution and key metrics
• Improving Software processes in cooperation with the Software development organization

• Participate as project member in product development programs driving Software quality assurance activities in tasks that include Requirements, software design, writing and reviewing of source code, configuration management, software testing, integration and release management
• Drive and improve Software processes and quality initiatives upstream by “shift left”
• Interface with customer quality and product management to understand market - and user requirements and translate into specific product - and test requirements
• Monitor and recommend improvements to Software product test plans – including APP’s, DSP and Embedded firmware as well as PC/ Mac applications
• Monitor verification during project development phase, and proactively drive improvements with relevant design team
• Improve process monitoring and increase visibility into the project execution (predictability and maturity)
• Communicate and visualize project software quality maturity and provide input to project gate reviews, this include collection of key metrics
• Quality management of 3’rd party SW suppliers and solution developers
• Perform release reviews with Software R&D and Software testing for projects
• Must also be able to understand the business needs and balance quality vs. time to market.

Participate in selected improvement projects:
• Participate in selected improvement initiatives and projects depending on your background and experience, e.g. Improving perceived quality, optimization and roll out of quality related processes

Product ownership – from a quality perspective:
• Quality ownership of part of our professional product portfolio – throughout the project life cycle
• Follow up RCA result of market returns and drive improvement actions based on RCA conclusion and recommendation.

Quality reporting:
• Participate in preparing monthly quality report – collect and validate data, conduct analysis and prepare recommendations

Align and support Customer Quality and Customer support with:
• Firmware and App related support cases. Receive product quality claims from the market and ensure a professional handling of the customer, including contacts customer support.
• Interface with design teams to solve customer claim, drive implementation of the solution and facilitate that preventive measures are implemented.
• Collect, validate and conduct analysis of market data to identify product improvements
• Drive product improvements initiatives together with relevant teams

• 5-10 years of software engineering experience of which a minimum of 3 years experience in quality engineering within the software industry (IT, consumer electronics industry, or similar)
• Advantage to have experience working with quality assurance within embedded software
• Advantage to have experience working with acoustics
• Solid quality engineering background working with product development projects preferably experience with entire flow from market requirements, test specification, development to product launch
• Experience with Agile methods preferable SCRUM as well as traditional Stage Gate models
• Experience with metric driven process improvement
