Published: May 16, 2018
Do you have solid experience as automation test developer? And do you want to impact the quality of new technology, ensuring that GN software and devices work and interact correctly?

Then this is your chance to join an agile work environment where you support our development teams and play a vital part in the strengthening of our automated testing activities.

Join GN Hearing – and help us make life sound better
At GN Hearing, we believe that hearing-aid users will be able to HEAR MORE, DO MORE and BE MORE than they ever thought possible. We develop innovative hearing solutions with great sound quality and excellent design.

Joining our software solutions organisation, you will become a part of our Systems Verification team, which is responsible for system verification of GN hearings products, including software such as device applications. We collaborate closely with development teams and product programmes across GN, conducting manual as well as automated tests.

Act as automated test expert
As senior QA developer, you will work to develop primarily automated – and to a lesser extent manual – test cases of GN products and software such as hearing instruments, device applications (iOS and Android) and fitting software. Doing so, you will participate in testing of software within the Systems Verification team or in cross-functional testing activities. Here, you participate in software development projects or product development projects using agile methods to manage tasks.

It will also be up to you to support and coach developers in designing good test cases as well as to help and train colleagues. Furthermore, it will be your task to:

- Write, review, update and execute test cases as well as set up test environments and virtual machines for testing
- Review requirements for testability and verification as well as participate in delivering team tasks in sprint backlog
- Support team and QA leads in estimating effort
- Participate in development integration and analysis activities as well as in analysing needs for regression tests
- Contribute in establishing and further expanding automated testing frameworks and tools
- Participate in or drive improvement initiatives
- Work with and drive activities with off-shore suppliers

You will also have the opportunity to act as Scrum master.

An agile work environment
Joining 6 skilled colleagues, you will become a vital part of an engaged team. We have a high standard of delivery and are determined to help each other achieve this. Our ambition is to make a difference – and having fun while doing so. As such, you can look forward to a cooperative work environment where we utilise agile methods in our development and in our management of system verification.

Experienced test developer
- You have excellent testing and test design skills and a proven record of automating and maintaining tests of software – it is only an added bonus if you have worked with automating tests of UI and of devices.
- You have 3+ years of documented experience with designing and developing tests/verification – automated as well as manual – preferably you have experience with designing test against requirements
- You are certified ISTQB agile tester, ISTQB test analyst, technical test analyst or similar – you could also be e.g. an ISTQB test automation engineer.
- You have worked with agile methods, SAFe and Scrum.
- You speak and write English on a high level.

We expect you to have a high standard of good test design and can challenge developers accordingly. In line with this, it is important that you thrive in the interaction with colleagues and wish to share your experience with others. You have strong problem-solving skills and a keen interest and willingness to learn new technologies. Lastly, you are curious and demonstrate continuous attention to detail.

This position also offers up to 10 travel days a year internationally.
