Do you want to use your experience in physical IC design to create deep sub-micron design and participate in all aspects of our back-end development?

We are searching for an experienced IC design engineer specialising in physical design. You will be joining a dynamic team whose goal is to develop best-in-class chipsets for hearing applications. Today, our ICs cover custom DSP/processors, low power wireless, AD converters and power management ICs.

ReSound, which is part of GN Hearing, was the first company launching a made-for-iPhone® hearing aid, and we are working on new and award-winning solutions. And at our HQ in Ballerup, Denmark, you will join our IC team that develops chipsets and creates leading edge ASIC design all the way from RTL to GDSII.

Take the design all the way to the end
You will work in all aspects of physical design including:
• Synthesis
• Power intent
• STA analysis
• Floorplanning
• Power routing
• Clock tree insertion
• Place and route
• Timing closure
• Power optimisation
• GDS signoff Verification (DRC, ERC, LVS)
• Back-end flow development

You will have opportunity to develop state-of-the-art processor chipsets in technology below 65nm where power and size are daily challenges.

In the IC team, you will join 25 specialist development engineers that every day combine talents to make life sound better through innovative low power chipsets. Becoming part of this international team of experts, you can look forward to challenging tasks and the chance to develop and grow. Working closely with other physical IC engineers, you will get the chance to take part in and contribute to our development flow by exploring new areas and technologies. As such, you play an important part in developing the most effective chipset in the business.

Use your experience to impact the way we work
You thrive in a team environment as an active participant who contributes with ideas by drawing on your experience and professional drive. You hold a master’s degree in electronics engineering combined with 5 years of industrial experience. In addition, you have:

• An understanding of Milkyway, Volcano or OpenAccess databases
• Good understanding of either Synopsys (IC Compiler), Cadence (Innovus) or Mentor
• Solid knowledge of static timing analysis
• Experience with RC Extraction
• Scripting skills using Tcl, Tk, Perl or Python
• Experience with deep sub-micron below 65nm and low power techniques
• Experience with GDS manipulation and signoff with Calibre tools
