GN Audio, a global leader in innovative headset solutions, is after several very successful years establishing a new position within our Sustained Engineering team. We are therefore looking for a talented Sustaining Engineer to join our ranks in Ballerup.

Sustained Engineering is a global team, located in both Ballerup and in Xiamen, China. The primary responsibility for the Sustained Engineering team, is being the technical product owner of GN Audio's products across both consumer and enterprise segments, during its mass production life cycle and beyond. Sustained Engineering tags on to a product development team in the last phases of development, to ensure that the right level of maturity is reached, prior to taking over the technical ownership of the product.

Hereafter, it is within the responsibility of the Sustaining Engineer, to ensure that relevant products are maintained and developed during its lifetime, ultimately supporting that Jabra have satisfied customers.

This revolves primarily around taking ownership of providing technical support to our EMS suppliers, QA, escalated customer support as well as providing technical pre-sales support.

Work is generally done in close cooperation with R&D, Supply Chain, QA, Regional sales offices, as well as external sources such as EMS partners, suppliers and other sub-contractors.

You will have a key role in a very well-functioning and motivated team, that always strives to support the business in the best possible manner.

20-35 travelling days are to be expected on a yearly basis, covering primarily customer visits, mainly within EMEA & North America.

Key responsibilities
Your role in the team, will have the primary responsibilities listed below across our product portfolio, working closely with your team colleagues. As we are working in organization constantly evolving, responsibilities are expected to develop over time, to meet business needs.

Escalated technical support from Global Accounts and key customers
- Take ownership of and drive escalated support cases, hereunder visiting customers/partners on site for analysis & measurements, when relevant.
- Work with Global Technical Support, customers, R&D and your team colleagues to resolve reported issues in an efficient manner.

Analysis and resolutions of Quality issues
- Take ownership of and drive key quality issues, reported from either customers or manufacturing.
- Work with primary Quality, R&D departments and your team colleagues, to perform root cause analysis and ensure swift development, qualification and implementation of resolutions.

Educational background
You hold a B. Sc. or a M. Sc. Degree within electrical engineering or similar and master English fluently.

Preferred experience
- Experience with Windows, Linux and Unix platform setups on Thin clients.
- Understanding of IT networks and virtualized environments.
- Experience within root cause analysis and methodologies in complex HW/SW/network configurations.
- 2-3 years of experience in Project Management (Scoping, scheduling & execution).
- 2-3 years of experience working with cross functional disciplines, including plastics, RF technology and SW/PC integration.
