Software Test Coordinators for audio products and platforms

GN Audio
Ballerup - Denmark
Published: December 01, 2017
Do you want to orchestrate software testing for new and exciting audio products and platforms?

Then we offer you one of two similar but highly influential roles as software test coordinators that both give you the opportunity to work with modern testing technologies in a globally market leading organisation within intelligent audio solutions.

The first position is related to the continuous testing of our new product platform. This position demands a high attention to detail, at least 3 years of experience with software testing and the desire to work in depth with a single and far-reaching project.

The other position is slightly more versatile and has higher demand for your ability to see the big picture and to keep track of different product projects at the same time.

The rest of the job ad applies for both positions:

Creating breakthrough audio technology
At GN Audio, we have created the world’s first ultra-noise-cancelling microphone, the world’s first Bluetooth® headset and the world’s first sports headphones with integrated heart-rate monitor, to name a few. Our solutions implement communication protocols over USB, audio, Bluetooth, DECT and web-services as well as operating systems for PCs and smartphones.

We listen hard to the needs of the customers and exploit new technologies to achieve the best possible results. And we want to remain at the very forefront of the market and reinvest more than 10% of our group’s revenue in R&D every year, so it is no coincidence that we keep setting trends.

Developing and implementing tests to Jabra products and platforms
SW Engineering is part of the R&D organisation, so you can look forward to a cross-functional role where you investigate new technologies and develop existing ones. You will join our Software Test team in Ballerup. We are responsible for the development, coordination, implementation and execution of software testing for current and future GN Audio products.

Here, you will work closely with a team of software test coordinators and engineers. You will take on a cross-functional role, as you cooperate closely with the SW UX, SW and embedded SW teams. You will have the full responsibility for:
• Owning the test plan, selecting relevant test techniques and writing test cases
• Programming and implementing relevant test automation
• Test coordination between our highly skilled test engineers in Ballerup, China and the US
• Determining test requirements and ensuring correct documentation and reporting

Do you have a passion for software testing in an international environment?
We are looking for candidates who possess the ability to work globally with several different cultures and stakeholders. So naturally, you are team-oriented and possess good communication and cooperation skills. You are committed to quality, usability and the use of best practices, methodologies and modern tools. Preferably, you:
• Are systematic, goal-oriented and focused on completion
• Have experience with different development approaches (e.g. waterfall or agile practices) and know how to apply the right software testing strategy
• Have a technical background as an engineer or similar
• Have experience with software testing and a theoretical knowledge of testing, test automation and test methods (e.g. ISTQB)
• Have excellent English skills, both spoken and written
