Purpose of the job
GN Group highly prioritize intellectual property rights (IPR). As patent attorney in GN Group you will become part of Group IPR and work to secure the freedom to operate of our business and protect our competitive edge.

Job responsibilities
In Group IPR you will work alongside 14 dedicated colleagues and become part of a dynamic and exciting global environment with opportunities for both personal and professional development.

You will analyze and assess innovative new ideas from our hearing aid business and ensure that selected solutions are patent protected. You will follow the patent process from idea to obtaining the final patent. Moreover, you will perform Freedom to Operate analysis, analyze competitor patents and assist in competitor monitoring and invalidation proceedings.

A central aspect of your responsibility will be to apply a business perspective when assessing the patentability of ideas. Hence, in order to fully uncover the potential of inventions, you communicate closely with inventors and other relevant stakeholders. In addition, you will be in continuous contact with external patent attorneys.

Preferred candidate
We expect that you have the following competencies and experience:

• You have a degree within Electrical Engineering, Physics or a similar field

• You have 4-8 years of experience working with patents at a highly professional level, including handling patent applications both nationally and internationally, from private practice, industry or both

• Preferably, you are a European Patent Attorney, but this is not a requirement

• You have a strong technical understanding and solid analytical skills

• You speak and write English fluently, Danish is a plus, and it is an advantage if you can read and understand German
