GN Audio is looking for a Software Test Engineer for our Software Engineering Department. The department is part of the highly professional R&D organization and responsible for specification, design, implementation and testing of software for GN Audio's products. All three disciplines – embedded software, PC software and software testing – are fully responsible for maintaining and developing GN Netcom's software platforms for current and future products. Our products cover a number of different technical aspects such as USB, audio, Bluetooth, DECT, various operating systems, PC’s, smartphones and web-services in new and exciting combinations. Software Engineering is a truly global organization represented in Ballerup/Denmark, Nashua/USA, Xiamen/China and Bangalore/India.

Responsibilities and tasks
You will be based in our team of software test but taking an active cross-functional role in our product programs. This involves working with:
• Design, build, test and deploy effective test automation solutions
• Set up the required test beds (hardware, software and network)
• Requirement analysis and test suite /case design based on requirement, design documentation.
• Execute test cases (manually or automated) based on test design, flow charts and UI Sketches, etc.
• Defect logging, test reports deliver and SW maturity level present to stake holders
• Delivering on improvement projects, e.g. use of new tools, techniques, test automation etc.

Qualifications and experience
We are looking for an experienced software test engineer who is able to work in an international environment towards internal as well as external customers:
• Education as an engineer or similar
• 3 years above of Software development, or automation development or testing experience.
• Solid experience with telephony communication solutions
• Solid experience with software applications/apps testing across different operating systems
• Solid experience with structured design, e.g. state-event or hierarchical design
• Systematic approach to problem solving, documentation and testing
• Passionate about quality, usability and the use of best practices, methodologies and modern tools
• Experience with different development approaches (e.g. waterfall or agile practices) and how to apply the right software testing strategy
