Through its Jabra brand, GN Audio is a world leader in intelligent audio solutions, and as Category Manager, you will be part of our Global Commodity Management team managing a significant share of the total spend.

Through focus on commercials (TCO), technologies and quality related aspects, your mission will be to deliver a strong supply base that contributes to our business with best in class performance. You will collaborate with colleagues across the organization, external stakeholders and suppliers from the early creation of category strategies to implementation.

A job with constant development and huge responsibility
With focus on strategic and tactical sourcing, you will lead a cross-functional category management team to design, develop and implement fact based category strategies. More specifically, you will
1. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers
2. Perform Risk Mitigation and Contingency Planning
3. Conduct relevant spend and cost structure analysis as well as market research
4. Manage longer term strategic considerations and ensure KPI performance improvement
5. Conduct professional and effective RFQ rounds, analyze responses and drive the negotiation process
6. Perform Should-Cost Reviews to reduce total product costs without compromising scope or capabilities
7. Facilitate effective & efficient supplier qualification processes
8. Identify, develop and improve new product possibilities and solutions in cooperation with R&D and Product Management

Today you are probably working in a similar role in the electronic products industry. You have a hands-on technology approach with experience from Packaging. Experience from Mechanics is an advantage.

You will work out of China, join a global team of six highly dedicated colleagues and report to the Director, Commodity Management located in Ballerup, Denmark. You can expect 30-40 travel days, mostly in China and Asia plus 1-2 trips to Europe per year.

Excellent commercial abilities, technical understanding and strong negotiation skills
1. You have a degree in business or engineering, but more importantly, you are a skilled procurement person with 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing.
2. It is required that you have Category Management experience including leading cross-functional teams.
3. You possess solid negotiation skills, project management and proven contracting skills.
4. You have proven technical understanding from working in the field between R&D and Suppliers.
5. Moreover, you have experience with one or more of the following: Category Strategy development and implementation, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Should Cost principles, Spend Analysis, Risk Mitigation and Contingency Planning.

As a person, you are a great communicator with high integrity who is culturally sensitive. This allows you to work closely both with internal stakeholders and with external suppliers.

You have an explicit proactive drive for results and success, and you are not afraid of challenging solutions and processes. Further, you have a strong analytical and structured mindset, and must be capable of prioritizing in order to meet deadlines. It is crucial that you have a strong business acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset you can translate strategy into action.
